Although banks in North America have been very active in buying vendor-provided solutions, the challenge remains to decide whether to deploy in-house or in an application service provider (ASP) environment.

Deployment Options

The preferred scenario is to provide both options to clients, and this is reflected in more than half of the vendors offering both an ASP and in-house installation.

Marketware proposes to work with clients to carefully implement the necessary service level agreements (SLAs) for an ASP solution. Areas of focus include defining problem levels, response periods, acceptable fixes, such as a work around with subsequent permanent correction, the experience or level of vendor personnel assigned to an issue, defining and crediting for vendor solution deficiencies, and escalation procedures. Marketware encourages clients proactive monitoring and tracking of metrics of the SLA and our performance.
