Marketware's Financial Data eXchange (MFDX)
Marketware International was one of the original vendors to offer an OFX server since 1999. Financial institutions can deliver online financial services to their customers via transactional Web sites, thin clients and popular financial management software that support the Open Financial Exchange. Marketware supports a complete set of OFX investment transactions. As an example,
- Positions, Balances, Transaction activity such as trades, dividends, interest information, etc.
- Security information, Account information, Sub-Accounts
- Money Market Funds, Tax Forms download, FI information, User authentication and password maintenance
- With OFX 2.1 version clients will now have the ability to download statement, transaction and check images.
Ease Of Integration And Seamless Information
- Installation of the MFDX Server provides a three-tiered architecture for the management and control of transactions. First, business rules and processes can be specified to administer and control access. (a browser base application that permits client administrators to manage the OFX users, user's account linkage, entitlements etc.) Second, Marketware International's Transaction Services Platform (MTS) supports access to as many information sources as necessary to provide the unformatted data required. Third, integration and formatting of the data by the MFDX Server establishes the information required.
- The MFDX Server platform has been designed to support a 24 hour-per-day, 7 day-per-week processing environment. In addition, the platform is scaleable and provides for load balancing as the number of users and their activity increases. The MFDX Server also provides a secured environment using SSL and encryption technology.
- The MFDX Server provides for the seamless flow of information from source to requestor. Information required by the Personal Financial Management application may require retrieval from multiple diverse repositories including those from legacy systems.
- Because of the architecture and design methodology (e.g., shared, centralized code) new interfaces can be developed quickly. Links to back office providers (e.g., Automatic Data Processing or ADP) can also be made available. The MFDX Server from Marketware International provides a stable and responsive platform without the need for lengthy internal development or ongoing maintenance and enhancement.
