AERI - Asian Equity Research Institute

Opportunities often arise out of need; this statement applies to the formation of the Asian Equity Research Institute (AERI) at the University of Missouri. The partners of Rising Tide in Missouri developed a business plan to seek profitable enterprises in the nascent China securities market by utilizing each partner's professional expertise. As Rising Tide proceeded with its business plans, it became clear that a research center/data warehouse for Chinese stocks was needed to provide current and accurately translated data to US investors, so as to provide the investor with more confidence in the China markets. While the need may seem self evident, the language barrier is so great that accomplishing this is no small feat. Rising Tide and the University of Missouri agreed to form a for-profit LLC in late 2007 to solve this problem and unlock the value of the Chinese marketplace.
